Forty years after its inception, AFSCME Retirees remain as feisty and fired up as ever.
From his home in Minnesota, Retiree Council Chair Jeff Birttnen told delegates to the AFSCME 44th International Convention how the Retirees chapter has led AFSCME’s growth agenda since the last convention.
Then he introduced a Saturday Night Live-inspired commercial that not only invoked hearty laughter among the convention attendees, but encouraged recent and longtime retirees to join AFSCME Retirees.
